Some time ago a woman called the detective agency because she was sure her husband was cheating with their neighbour. The other woman lived 5 doors up the street from them. She was a good looking blonde lady who was always having fun. She was quite different from our client. She told us she believed her husband was having a midlife crisis. He had started to dye his hair and wear clothes that were too young for him.
It all started one weekend when both our client and her husband were doing the front garden outside their house. The neighbour came round and asked if she could borrow some drain rods as her drains were blocked. Our client’s husband said he would have a look at her drains. He took the rods with him and didn’t return for a couple of hours. When he returned he smelt of alcohol and chloride. Our client asked him why he smelt strange and he said she had given him a drink and a go in the hot tub.
The next weekend they were out in the garden again and the neighbour came round and asked for some help putting up a shelf. The same thing happened. When our client called she told us he had started to go round during the week and always came back smelling the same. She wanted proof that they were having sex but had no idea how to catch them.
Our client arranged to go out one evening which left her husband home alone. We arranged for a couple of operatives to watch the garden to see if anything happened. Sure enough the husband stripped off to his boxers and plunged into the hot tub. The neighbour supplied him with a drink and stripped off down to her knickers. They were definitely having fun in the hot tub. We reported our findings to our client who was ready to confront her husband and the naughty neighbour. We did not record the episode but it was enough for our client to confront her husband.
